Krolevets
Krolevets is a city in Sumy Oblast, Ukraine. The population is 25,183 (2001).
Named in honor of the Polish King Sigismund III, Krolevets was founded in 1601. The original name was written as Krolewac (Krulevats). Krolevets was annexed by the Tsardom of Muscovy in 1654. In 1897 it was incorporated into the Chernihiv province. During World War II, Krolevets was occupied by the German Army from 3 September 1941 to 1 September 19.

Пісні можна використовувати :
- для фонетичної зарядки, на початковому етапі уроку;
- для більш міцного закріплення лексичного і граматичного матеріалу;
- як стимул для розвитку мовних навичок і вмінь;
- як свого роду релаксацію в середині або кінці уроку, коли діти заморились і їм потрібна розрядка, яка б знімала напругу і відновлювала їх працездатність.Пропоную такі пісні, як:

Можна використовувати і переклади відомих дитячих пісень “Smile”, “Crocodile Gena’s Song”, “A Green grasshopper”, вона підкреслює, що вони активізують школярів, вносять елемент зацікавленості.
Все сказане вище про користь пісень і музики на уроках англійської мови відноситься й до віршів. Особливо важливо це на першому етапі навчання. Але для молодших школярів вірші відбираються невеликі, з короткими римами, елементарними граматичними конструкціями. Вибір вірша визначається лексичним і граматичним матеріалом, темою усних бесід. Вірш також може бути одним з видів фонетичної зарядки для відпрацювання окремих звуків, інтонації і наголосу. Можна внести елементи гри і в розучування віршів.
Спочатку вірш аналізується на слух – мовна форма, яскраві картинки, які демонструють його зміст, потім клас повторює за вчителем вірш декілька раз, потім використовує принцип естафетної палички. Вчитель вручає її учню, і той читає вірш напам’ять, потім передають товаришу.
Атмосфера змагання активізує пам'ять дітей.
Крім перерахованого використання пісень і віршів, вчитель може весь урок або його частину посвятити роботі з автентичним пісенним матеріалом.
